Over a year has passed since our last update, and I am sorry for the radio silence. In October last year I gave birth to my son and had a rather slow recovery, followed by a very active and bouncy toddler! We’re just finally getting ourselves back to a nice routine, so please bear with me while I fix up the site and get it back up and running!

The official trailer for Felicity’s upcoming film On the Basis of Sex has now been released. I must say, Felicity looks like she’s going to do an incredible job in this film! You can watch the trailer below:

Felicity has a new photoshoot and article featured in the October 2018 edition of Vanity Fair magazine. I have added some images from the shoot to the gallery and a snippet from the article below:

One evening last August, Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg went to dinner at a restaurant in Washington, D.C., with actress Felicity Jones, who was soon to play her in On the Basis of Sex. Armie Hammer, who was to play Ginsburg’s husband, Marty, and the film’s director, Mimi Leder, were also there. In 2011, Ginsburg, 85, had granted her blessing to the project by telling the screenwriter Daniel Stiepleman—who is also her nephew—“Yes, if you’d like to spend your time doing that.” Ginsburg had not yet earned the nickname “Notorious R.B.G.,” for her stern and furious dissents; her face had not yet been tattooed on the arms and legs of feminists across the country. Stiepleman wanted to show how Ruth Bader Ginsburg became Ruth Bader Ginsburg, arguing her first gender-discrimination case in 1971 alongside her late husband.

At dinner, they talked about how the loss of Ginsburg’s mother the day before her high-school graduation had shaped her life. Leder asked Ginsburg how she knew that Marty was the one. They had begun as friends at Cornell, Ginsburg said, during which time she had another boyfriend—until one evening when they were all playing charades. “He is not so clever,” she thought. “Marty is the man I should marry.” Toward the end of dinner, Ginsburg waited until Jones went to the ladies’ room before leaning in to Leder. The English actress was “great,” Leder remembers Ginsburg saying, “but can she do the Brooklyn accent?”

The first official still from Felicity and Eddie Redmayne’s new film together, The Aeronauts, has been released.

According to an article in Variety, it seems Felicity is doing a lot of her own stunts in this film too!

Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are reunited in the first-look image for Amazon Studios’ “The Aeronauts,” which began shooting in the U.K. this week. The two British stars previously worked together in James Marsh’s “The Theory of Everything,” for which Redmayne won the Oscar for best actor while Jones was nominated for best actress.

According to producers, the first-look image was taken with the film’s two lead performers 2,000 feet in the air. “We’re fortunate that Felicity and Eddie have the nerve to do these stunts themselves as it authenticates our entire approach,” said producer Todd Lieberman.

Lieberman says authenticity is a top priority for “Aeronauts.” “We intend to do as much balloon filming in the sky as the weather will allow. The image was taken after we launched Felicity and Eddie 2,000 feet in the air, performing their scripted scene, while a helicopter captured it all,” said Lieberman.

Felicity has taken part, along with a number of other female celebrities, in a short by Rebel Park Productions which is the first in a series aimed at shining a light on the portrayal of women in the media and the challenges women face in the workplace across all industries. It’s got some funny moments with a message which I know Felicity is particularly passionate about! Enjoy!

My humblest apologies for the delay in updates recently. Felicity hasn’t been too busy as it seems she had been preparing for her wedding to Charles Guard (but more on that later)!

Focus Features have released the official trailer for Felicity’s newest film, On the Basis of Sex, and you can watch it below.

I have also added a new still and a poster from the film to the gallery:

Finally, in even more exciting news, Felicity and Charles Guard married on 30th June and some lovely photographs have been released to the public. It looks like she had a wonderful day and I wish them both the very best!

I apologise for the lack of updates recently, I have not been well. However, I am feeling a little better today and have added some small scans of Felicity’s first magazine appearance of 2018; in China’s Harper’s Bazaar.

Earlier this week Felicity and her fiancé Charles attended the The Prince of Wales’ Invest in Futures Reception for the Prince’s Trust. The charity’s Invest in Futures campaign works with young people whose lives have often been ravaged by tragedy. Just one photograph from the event, hosted by The Prince of Wales himself, has surfaced and been added to the gallery.

Felicity has been confirmed to be attending the BAFTAs later this month, on February 18th, and it is likey she will be wearing black to the event:

Last week’s Grammy Awards saw artists wear white roses in support of gender equality, and now members of the Time’s Up initiative have circulated a letter urging BAFTA guests “to wear black to the awards ceremony, to follow suit from our sisters who attended the Golden Globes”.

The message, the BBC reports, is understood to have reached Emma Thompson, Daisy Ridley, Emma Watson, Gemma Arterton, Keira Knightley, Jodie Whittaker, Emilia Clarke, Noma Dumezweni, Natalie Dormer and Felicity Jones, who are all confirmed to attend the February 18 event at the Royal Albert Hall.

Yesterday, online magazine Harpers Bazaar shared a lovely interview with Felicity. See a little excerpt below:

HB: What is your earliest beauty memory?

FJ: “My earliest beauty memory would be my grandma putting on lipstick at her dressing table. I was really tiny and looking up, and I remember the smell of the lipsticks so vividly. I think it was some old, ’50s brand or something. That was my first encounter with beauty and makeup.”

HB: What was the first Clé de Peau Beauté product you were introduced to?

FJ: “The concealer. From working with all different makeup artists that is one item that is in every single makeup artist’s bag. It is absolutely brilliant and so effective. I remember using it really early on, like ten years ago.”

HB: Is there a workout you love to do?

FJ: “I am bit of a magpie with fitness. I do bits of yoga, pilates, ballet, swimming, and then I like to go running outside rather than go to the gym. I have noticed when I go to the gym I tend to build-up bulk and I don’t really want to do that unless I am playing a character like that. It’s all about feeling strong but not bulky.”
